Kami Betker

Kami graduated from the Arizona School of Massage Therapy Tempe, AZ in 2003 with an 800 hour massage therapy certificate. After a brief period of massage in Arizona, Kami moved back to her home state of Washington, to start her career in massage therapy. She has worked in many settings from spa to clinical practice, but her passion has been in injury rehabilitation and deep tissue therapies.
In 2006 Kami's journey to becoming a yoga instructor began. She found herself in her first hot yoga class. Excited about the physical benefits of hot yoga, she never expected to have her life changed. She walked away from her first class thinking, “That was the hardest thing I’ve ever done.” Within a couple weeks she noticed the definite physical changes as well as a new mental clarity and calmness.
By 2010 Kami knew she wanted to share her passion for yoga with others. By April that year, Kami had earned her 200 hour RYT, and was on her way to sharing the gift of yoga. It is her goal to inspire others by leading with example, “I don’t have the best physical practice, but that’s what yoga is about. No judgment for myself or others.”
Through Be One Yoga Kami is able  merge her two passions in life, yoga and massage therapy. Helping people better their whole selves.

Timory Malone

Timory started practicing yoga in 2004 at a community college. She immediately noticed how it helped her to calm and slow down, and how different it was from anything she had done before. As someone who is very naturally competitive she also found it refreshing to be an such accepting and peaceful environment.
After years of a daily home practice she discovered hot yoga and fell in love. In 2011 she took her first 200 hour teacher training, and completed Baptiste Level One Journey into Power in 2013. She and her husband enjoy a regular Acro Yoga practice and have loved sharing the playful practice with students.

Jo Parsons

Jo teaches yoga because she herself has healed so much of her own life with yoga, and she wants to teach others that they can do the same. A lifelong battle with depression, anxiety, and weight issues led Jo to try yoga 14 years ago, and her life was completely changed forever! She started teaching yoga full time after completing her Baptiste Power Vinyasa Yoga Teacher Training with Baron Baptiste at the Baptiste Power Yoga Institute in 2006. She also completed an extensive course on giving hands-on adjustments called Teacher Assistant Program (T.A.P.) at Shakti Vinyasa Yoga with Master Baptiste Teacher Lisa Black. Her newest love is Yin Yoga and she completed her Yin Yoga certification with Bernie Clark November 2015. Slowing down and “BE-ing” is what Jo loves about yin yoga (a slower, deeper, gentler style of yoga that targets and strengthens the connective tissues of the body – mainly the joints). Yin yoga helped Jo heal her own body that she felt was wearing down from so many years of living a very active life. The two styles of yoga perfectly complement each other to create more balance not just in body, but in our souls too. Jo's ability to connect with her students and understand their suffering, and their triumphs (emotional, physical, and spiritual) is as unique as she is. Her classes are fun, inspirational, light-hearted yet challenging, and filled with love, music, and soul!

Katy Tavog

Katy has been practicing yoga since 2005 and began teaching in 2009, after attending Baron Baptiste Level 1 Teacher Training. Katy continued her training by attending Level 2 with Baron Baptiste, and Yin Yoga Teacher Training with Bernie Clark. Initially attracted to yoga by the heat and the challenge, Katy soon learned the benefits of yoga are much deeper than just physical. Yoga has helped Katy to embrace change and to accept the things she cannot change.
With a background in competitive gymnastic coaching and judging and outdoor fitness training, Katy found teaching yoga a natural progression. She feels everything she has done so far in her life has led her to this point, to teaching yoga. Incredibly lucky to be surrounded by so many inspiring teachers and students, Katy looks forward to learning more about yoga, learning more about herself, and inspiring her students to transform their limitations into power!
Known as a quiet yet profound practice, yin yoga consists primarily of seated or floor postures with longer holds while focusing on breath work and meditation. During this practice the objective is to relax the muscles, allowing access to the connective tissues of the body. Yin brings balance to the typical yang practice (hatha/power vinyasa). Room is heated to 80°-85°.
