Mariko Johnston

Mariko is inspired by helping others, learning from others and creating community through the common language of yoga. She loves nothing more than witnessing the evolution of the human spirit once it is discovered and nurtured. She teaches in the hope of sharing the transformative practice of yoga with everyone. She combines her experience and expertise with training, movement and anatomy to create a challenging and safe environment for students to explore their edge. She often encourages her students to surpass their own expectations. Her classes are designed to challenge and strengthen both body and mind.

Mariko completed her RYT 200 at Shakti in 2014 and went on to complete Shakti's Teacher Mentorship Program working with Zak Endicott and Nicole Tsong. In 2016 she completed "Life of a Yogi" 500 hour training, which included training in advanced pranayama and mediation techniques, in New York with her beloved teacher Dharma Mittra. Mariko is also a certified holistic lifestyle coach and personal trainer with specializations in corrective exercise, performance enhancement.

Zach Halley

Zach began practicing yoga in 2009 after his girlfriend (and now fiancé) dragged him along to a hot 90-minute power class. After surviving that class, Zach began to work yoga into his routine and enjoyed all of the benefits, both physical and mental. As a means to deepen his practice, Zach took teacher training in 2011 and began teaching shortly after and ever since. Zach really enjoys seeing the growth and transformation of his students, and cherishes the relationships he has developed through yoga. Zach taught yoga in the Bellingham area while earning a Bachelor’s degree in finance from Western Washington University. After graduating in 2013, Zach moved back to the Seattle area. During business hours, Zach is an international accountant. His real passion is teaching and taking yoga. Outside of work and yoga, Zach lives with his fiancé and two large dogs, Carly and Thor. Zach knows that yoga will always and forever be a part of life.
The Dharma Yoga Wheel is an amazing tool that helps anyone, from beginner to the advanced practitioner, move deeper into their yoga postures.
