Be One Yoga offers yoga classes specifically designed for children! While practicing yoga, children exercise, play, connect more deeply with the inner self, and develop an intimate relationship with the natural world that surrounds them. Yoga brings that marvelous inner light that all children have to the surface.

Our kids classes are conveniently scheduled during hot yoga practice times so the whole family can enjoy the benefits of yoga!

Be One Kids Age 5-10

These classes encourage a deeper sense of body awareness and self exploration. As your young yogini begins to grow in his or her practice, these classes offer more flowing sequences, balancing poses, breathing exercises, and relaxation as well as interactive yoga games and partner work.

Yoga can be an extraordinary avenue and resource for children as they start to reach pre-teen years.

 

Yoga builds strength, increases flexibility, increases coordination and balance, builds core stability, and can help students’ posture rebound from a day hunched over a desk, smartphone and carrying a heavy back back all day long.

 

Yoga also encourages self-love and self-acceptance. This benefit is especially powerful for children around this age as body image begins to surface. It’s a beautiful way to learn to love yourself and appreciate the body for what it is and what it can do, rather than what it looks like. It builds compassion for the self which then radiates to compassion for others.

 

Studies have shown that students who practice yoga show more positive moods, less anxiety and depression. With the stress and anxiety of exams, placement tests, speeches and all of the other pressures that plague school kids today, yoga can be a step in the right direction.

Family Yoga

These classes encourage a deeper sense of body awareness and self exploration. As your young yogini begins to grow in his or her practice, these classes offer more flowing sequences, balancing poses, breathing exercises, and relaxation as well as interactive yoga games and partner work.

Enjoy one hour of yoga play and connection with your loved ones. Practice breath and mindful techniques, learn yoga poses through stories and games, and then rest into relaxing poses. One adult per family is required. Kids aged 4 years old and older do best in this environment.

  • Basic yoga poses: breath, yoga poses through stories, pose game, and yin poses
  • Tuning in self: tap into senses through breath, yoga movement, stories, and a sensory game
  • Creative connection: creative breath, gentle partner poses, story, massage train, and yin poses
  • Challenge Course: groove through breath, yoga poses, and mindful movement on a yoga challenge course with 9+ stations

Four – 60 minute sessions (12-15 people)

March 9th , 23rd  at 10 am

April 6th , 20th  at 10 am

May 4, 18 at 10 am

June 1, 15 at 10 am

Each weekly series will have new poses, breathwork, and challenges.

Parent required to attend with child.

Kids Birthday Party

 

Have your child celebrate their birthday with a unique yoga birthday party ensured to have FUN!

 

We can accommodate kids birthday parties from ages 6+ with a maximum of 15 kids.

 

For children ages 9+ your child could choose to have an Aerial Yoga Birthday Party with a maximum of nine kids.

 

Party packages include:

 

  • One hour of instructed yoga or aerial yoga
  • 1/2 hour of your child’s choice of activity from yoga games or crafts or free time in the swings!
  • 1/2 room use for snacks and cake
  • Two hour party is $300 with a 50% deposit at the time of booking
